Acrylic Face Mount

Acrylic Face Mount has been around for a while but has become wildly popular over the last few years. Essentially it is a frameless option and is very modern in its appearance. Again we use only the finest quality materials in the production of this product.

You can see some examples of how the Acrylic Face Mounted prints will look on your wall by going to the Prints In Your Home page.

The process of Face Mounting is a highly skilled one. But next to having the skill is having the right materials. We used a 3mm high quality Museum Grade Acrylic. This has no colour cast, its virtually unbreakable and it also blocks 98% of UV light. A super thin layer of adhesive film is place between the Museum Grade Acrylic and the print. This is a hugely important step and you must use the right adhesive film to ensure the highest possible optical clarity.

The back of the Acrylic Face Mount is then covered  with a product called ForeX and this seals in the print and gives us a substrate to place the hanging frame on. The hanging frame also gives support to the finished piece. All in all we end up with a product that will look amazing on your wall for a long long time.

Danny’s open and limited edition prints can now be shipped anywhere in Australia and across the globe. You must take into consideration that large frames in particular will incur significant cost due to packaging and the use of speciality artwork couriers. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions relating to shipping and packaging.

Contemporary Framing

The framed prints in this sale are framed with our contemporary framing options. We use the highest quality materials and the people we use to assemble the finished product have been doing it to perfection for over 20 years. The materials we use have been chosen not only for the high quality finish but also their archival permanence.

You can see all of our frame samples at the bottom of this page if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

When it comes to mounting the print to the backing board for our framed prints, its very important to use the right products. The end goal is to have your print hanging on your wall very a long long time into the future. The back board must be solid, resist moisture and be acid free. This all help the increase the archival longevity of you framed print. This is the reason why we use a product called GatorFoam. Another big bonus is that its very light weigh and keeps the weight of your finished print down which helps with shipping costs and hanging it on your wall.

We have a small range of mat boards that we use. These have been chosen due to the fact that they are cotton rag and not paper. They have the highest colour permanence available and they will also resist against colour bleed and fading. We do not recommend coloured mats and we only use black or white in our production.

We have a wide and varied selection of frames to choose from. Our collection includes a selection of simple white and black frames. We also have a selection of timber veneered frames. These include some raw finishes and also some beautiful stained veneers. A portion of our frames are sourced from Italy and look truly amazing. They option that is offered in our print sale is our medium contemporary black frame.

Your average framer only used framing glass in the production. We don’t use framing glass for several reasons. It  has a colour cast, its heavy and doesn’t transport well. We use a  high quality museum grade acrylic. This has no colour cast, its virtually unbreakable and it also blocks 98% of UV light. Depending on the product you order and the size of the print will determine the thickness of the acrylic used. For large frames we use 4.5mm and for some other options we use 2mm.

ˆThis sale consists of ex-gallery stock only. These prints have been hanging in the gallery on the wall for a period of time. Due to this, there may be some very minor scratches or marks on some of the prints. I must stress, these would only be very minor scratches. For this reason we have offered a minimum of 30% discount on these prints.
