Workshop Recap
This video is here as a follow up to my 1-Day workshop. If you are watching this video, you have most likely attended a workshop with me. I understand that when you are at a workshop you try your very best to take all of the information in. This we know is nearly impossible so I have put together this video to cover most of the topics that we may have discussed on the day. This video may remind you of something that you may have forgotten already or it may raise some new questions that you might have. All you have to do is to CLICK HERE to send your question directly to me. I will do my very best to answer your question. My aim is always to help others to become better photographers just like the help that I received when I was starting out.
I have also included some links to products that I recommend and use. Feel free to check them out and if you have any questions regarding photography equipment, I am more than happy to assist. Again, just CLICK HERE to send me a message.
Please also take the time to leave a short testimonial if you enjoyed the workshop and if by attending, you got some valuable information the will help you take better photos.
Custom SLR
Custom SLR is a great company who sell some excellent photography accessories, in particular, their camera straps. I’m not a great fan of the straps that come with your camera from the manufacturer. I find them uncomfortable at best and when you put your camera on your tripod the strap flaps around in the wind which can work against you keeping your camera completely still when trying to capture sharp images.
Nisi Filters
I have not personally used Nisi Filters but I know many photographers that use them and they swear by the quality of these products. I find that they are a little bit pricey but you get what you pay for. I find filters to be an invaluable tool in your bag when it comes to landscape photography
Lee Filters
Lee filters are another great product. These are also a very high-quality filter and I have been using them for many years. Again, filters are a very important tool for a landscape photographer and I wouldn’t leave home without them. Regardless of the brand you use, I highly recommend adding filters to your kit.
Induro Tripods
It blows my mind how little a budget people put to the purchase of a tripod. This is a very important piece of equipment and it’s what keeps your camera upright and steady while you are trying to capture amazing photos. I have been using Induro tripods for many years and I’m very happy with them. They are a well-built product and are made to withstand the elements. I have taken my tripods around the world and they work as well as the day that I bought them. I highly recommend Induro if you are looking for a good quality tripod to add to your kit.
F-Stop Gear
The preservation of your gear is paramount. It is so important to have good quality camera bags for carrying your very expensive camera gear. I have been using F-stop camera bags for quite some time and I find them to be a very high-quality product. They are comfortable to carry and the design makes them very practical to use. This is another item that I think it is worth spending the extra money on. A good backpack can make your life easier while travel with your camera gear.
Really Right Stuff
Really Right Stuff is another great company that makes quality products. They also make tripods but my favourite products of theirs are their ballheads and L-Plates. The L-Plates make life very easy by making it very quick and simple to secure your camera on to your tripod in the portrait position. Click on their logo to check out their product range.
Post Production Software Options
There are many options when it comes to choosing a good post-production software. I personally use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom. Many different developers have taken on the challenge to create better and faster ways to process your RAW files. Some have done a great job, and some not so good. Regardless which software you choose to use is entirely a personal preference. The ones that I have mentioned on this page are all very good and you can most likely get a free trial to use each one of them and then choose your favourite. Adobe
